Technology (e-Learning)

Students at St Finbarr’s School are provided with opportunities to engage with technology in their learning, research and leisure activities.

Digital citizenship is taught across the curriculum with the use of technology embedded in every subject area.

Students learn to work with computers, Apple TV equipment, iPads, interactive whiteboards, flip cameras and evolving technologies. Video-conferencing facilities allow students to use and access specialised tuition remotely.

A Technology and eLearning Plan has been developed to plan for the sustainable implementation of ICT across the school and to ensure that new and innovative equipment can be accessed by the students.  Focus since 2020 has been on the development of online learning platforms and recent purchases in the area of robotics and coding equipment.
